I have just installed the SFLite programme and found it to be so much easier to use than spread sheets. You get a report for each account holder which immediately lets you know how much has been received/spent and the remaining balance for any account you search. The only drawback I can find is that you cannot reconcile your bank statements with payments you have made on the programme.
I would definitely recommend using SF Lite.
